I started teaching at junior college this fall and I love it. I got an AA degree as my first step and I take pride in creating real opportunity for change in this world.
That being said...
I routinely have 20% of my students (>100) requiring make-up exams in the student services office. They are supposed to have go in and say, "I have Dr. M for Class X and would like to take the Make-Up Exam."
I had a student this week who wound up taking an exam for another class of mine (not the one she is currently enrolled in.)
1) She didn't say anything to the proctor and took the exam.
2) She scored better on that exam than the one I had her take for her course!
